Application Process

Follow these simple steps to complete your application to Oshigambo High School

Submit Online Application

Complete our online application form with accurate personal, academic, and contact information. Upload required documents including a recent passport photo, birth certificate, and your Term 1 report card. Grades 5, 6 & 7 applicants apply through the Pioneers admission form. The application window is 6 May – 31 May 2026.

Application Review

Our admissions committee carefully reviews each application based on academic merit, conduct records, and available spaces. We assess students' potential to thrive in our rigorous academic environment.

Admission Decision

Admission offers are sent to successful candidates via email and phone. Parents must confirm acceptance and complete registration within the specified deadline to secure placement.

Registration & Orientation

Complete final registration, pay required fees, and submit original final examination reports. Attend our new student orientation, collect uniforms, books, and receive your class schedule and boarding assignment.

Ensure you meet the following requirements for your grade level. Grades 5, 6 & 7 admissions are handled through the Pioneers programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

The application period for the 2027 academic year opens on 6 May 2026 and closes on 31 May 2026. This applies to Grades 5, 6 and 7 (Pioneers programme). Applications for Grades 8–12 and AS Level follow a separate intake process — please contact the school for details. We recommend applying as early as possible as spaces are strictly limited.

Oshigambo High School admits students from Grade 5 through Grade 12. Grades 5, 6 and 7 are part of our Pioneers programme and have their own dedicated online application form. Grades 8–10 follow the standard NSSCO track, and Grade 12 AS Level is also available for high-achieving NSSCO graduates. Holiday classes are offered for Grades 11 and 12.

Yes, we welcome applications from international students across all grades (5–12). A valid study permit is required and must be uploaded as part of the application. Translated academic records may also be required. Please contact our admissions office for specific requirements for your child's grade level.

For Grades 5, 6 and 7, there is no aptitude test. Students are ranked based on their Term 1 2026 academic performance as reflected on their report cards. Students must also meet the Ministry of Education's promotion requirements for their current grade. Successful applicants will be announced via official WhatsApp platforms created for all applicants, with final admission confirmed by 8 June 2026.

We maintain a student-educator ratio of approximately 35:1, ensuring personalised attention and quality instruction across all grades. AS Level classes are even smaller with ratios of 25:1 or better.

Oshigambo High School is a full boarding institution for all grades (5–12). We provide separate, well-maintained dormitories for boys and girls with 24-hour supervision. Each dormitory has study areas, common rooms, and modern bathroom facilities. All students receive four nutritious meals daily. For the 2027 year, the hostel accommodates 154 boys and 260 girls across Grades 5–7 (Pioneers).

We offer a wide range of activities including clubs (debate, drama, science, computer), leadership programs, community service, and cultural activities. All students from Grade 5 upwards are encouraged to participate in at least one extracurricular activity to support their holistic development.
